I shot a candle in my photos. The personal significance this object has is that I have always wanted a lamp with the same detail as this candle and this is the closest thing I have found to it. This is my favorite thing because not only does it look good, it also smells good. I photographed from long view (taking a photo of the subject from far away), close up (the subject filling the frame), detail (moving in as close as possible to an interesting part of the subject), low level view (a photo of the subject from ground level or a little higher), ant's view (photographing the subject from below), and aerial view (photographing the subject from straight above). I photographed this in my room with a black cloth behind it to avoid distracting backgrounds. I considered composition and depth of field in my work by taking numerous photos from different angles and using the best photos.
